I really love these bugs and the seal teeth! I think they are a great way for children to examine and explore nature, through the safety of resin.
My 5 year old boy was so scared of bugs when I started this venture. We now go on bug hunts, and bag our finds in zip lock bags. I pay him 10c for a small insect or a bug, and 50c for a large one ; )
You can see a couple of resin 101 basic mistakes in the photos above. I now know that the insects must be dried out before embedding or else they will make the resin milky white, and slowly rot! Also, I was so excited to get them out of the moulds to fully cure, the base of them have imperfections from sticking to the wax paper.

I will be encouraging the kids in our local school and kindergarten to collect dead bugs for me to return to them in resin!
